  • AMERICAN HEART BLS CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider (CPR includes Adult Infant and Child)

     Respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants.

     Use an AED on an adult or child victim of cardiac arrest.

     Use personal protective equipment to stop bloodborne pathogens and other diseases from spreading.

    Program features include:


    AED training fully integrated into the program and required for certification.

    Discussions, video and hands-on skills training to promote effective learning

    This course teaches American Safety & Health Institute/Medic First Aid Adult CPR as well as Basic First Aid. Students will learn how to recognize and respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in the CPR portion of the course. Basic First Aid will teach students how to respond to other emergencies caused by injury or sudden illness. This course may take up to 4 hours.


    To earn CPR certification, students must pass a written test as well as pass the skills portion of the training.

Basic First Aid will teach students how to respond to other emergencies caused by injury or sudden illness. This course may take up to 5 hours.


    To earn CPR certification, students must pass the online test and then attend a skill session to perform and review skills. To earn Basic First Aid certification, students must pass the online test; however, no skill session is needed.

  • Basic First Aid and Universal Precautions for Tattoo Artists and Body Piercers

    This course teaches American Safety & Health Institute/Medic First Aid Universal Precautions for Tattoo Artists and Body Piercers, and Basic First Aid.


    Universal Precautions for Tattoo Artists and Body Piercers was designed to be especially relevant to body artists. It will teach students how to control the risk of exposure to disease by practicing infection control procedures such as good hand hygiene, glove removal, disposal of contaminated materials and more.


    Basic First Aid will teach students how to respond to emergencies caused by injury or sudden illness.


    According to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) an employee with the potential for exposure to blood or other potentially infectious material (OPIM) is required Universal Precautions training annually. This course meets OSHA standards and the standards of the Indiana Department of Health as well as the standards of other states and countries.


    Universal Precaution certification is valid for 1 year.

    Basic First Aid certification is valid for 3 years.

    Sprouse CPR & Safety is bringing the Pet First Aid and Disaster Response course to Pet owners. Some pet emergencies including bleeding and bite wounds, cardiac arrest, choking, burns, poisoning, trauma, allergic reaction and more are found in our course.


    We understand what people feel when there is a medical emergency with your special family pet. This training will provide sound advice to help you care for your pet in an emergency.
